McKendree's average class of 14 provides students with a truly personalized educational
experience. McKendree transfer students receive an average institutional award of
$18,000 annually which means that you can access a private school experience at a price equal to the
average Illinois public university.

Complete and submit a free, online application or submit a paper copy. You are invited to complete the transfer application for admission any time prior
to the semester in which you plan to enroll.
You will also need to submit the following:
1. Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended
2. Official final high school or GED transcript is required if you have completed fewer
than 12 post-secondary credits.

Admission to McKendree is selective. Decisions are based on school records, including
the rigor of curriculum, recommendations and evidence of student leadership. McKendree
selects students who demonstrate potential and desire to succeed in a rigorous academic
environment.
Each application is reviewed holistically, however, to be considered for admission
as a transfer student, applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all
coursework completed at the post-secondary level.
Transfer equivalency credit will be determined by the Office of Academic Records according
to the policies stated in the Academic Programs and Policies section of the catalog
under Transfer Credit.
Application for Re-admission
Students that have previously attended McKendree University and are seeking re-admission must complete an application for transfer admission and supply up-to-date transcripts if they have not attended McKendree for one year or if they have attended another institution since they were last enrolled at McKendree University.

Articulation and Transfer Plans
McKendree University is continually working to make it seamless for those transferring
to McKendree from a community college.
Our articulation and transfer plans specify the student degree course plan and transfer

McKendree University will give careful consideration to your previous course work
and transfer in as many credits as possible. Courses are individually evaluated to
determine which are transferable and what requirements have been met. In most cases,
credit is issued for courses that have an equivalency to those that are offered at
McKendree. Our academic division chairpersons determine which courses will meet a
